Lead all residential construction operations across the Las Cruces and El Paso markets, overseeing the successful delivery of approximately 400 homes annually across 12 active subdivisions. Directly manage, mentor, and develop a team of 11 Construction Managers while driving operational excellence in production, quality, customer satisfaction, safety, and financial performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide strategic leadership and operational oversight for all residential construction activities across two markets.
- Directly supervise, coach, and develop 11 Construction Managers, fostering accountability, professional growth, and high-performance results.
- Oversee construction operations for 12 active subdivisions, ensuring projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to company quality standards.
- Manage the annual production and successful closing of approximately 400 homes while balancing build cycle performance and customer experience.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve build cycle efficiency, productivity, and operational consistency across all communities.
- Monitor key performance indicators including construction schedules, customer satisfaction, quality metrics, safety compliance, trade partner performance, and financial results.
- Partner with Executive Leadership, Sales, Purchasing, Estimating, Warranty, Customer Experience, and Land Development to ensure seamless execution throughout the homebuilding process.
- Lead weekly operational meetings to review production goals, scheduling, quality initiatives, and continuous improvement opportunities.
- Establish performance expectations and conduct coaching, performance reviews, and succession planning for Construction Managers.
- Drive accountability among trade partners by enforcing quality standards, contractual obligations, safety requirements, and construction schedules.
- Ensure compliance with all local building codes, municipal inspections, OSHA regulations, and company construction standards.
- Identify operational risks and proactively implement solutions to minimize delays, control costs, and improve overall construction performance.
- Utilize Power BI, SharePoint, and construction management systems to analyze performance metrics, forecast production, and support executive decision-making.
- Champion continuous process improvement initiatives that enhance construction quality, operational efficiency, and homeowner satisfaction.
- Maintain strong relationships with municipal agencies, inspectors, trade partners, and internal stakeholders to support successful project execution.
