- During the validation process of a reported discrepancy, it was the responsibility of the quality engineer to determine the reported discrepancy was legitimate by reviewing the applicable drawings and DPS specifications and inspecting the part or installation to ensure it was nonconforming.
- Prior to moving an aircraft from the build area to the delivery center, manufacturing, inspection and quality engineering personnel performed a shake/inspection of the entire aircraft (both mechanical and electrical installations) to identify any discrepancies and the responsible manufacturing/engineering department would rework/replace the discrepant part or installation prior to turning the aircraft to the delivery center/west ramp.
- Utilizing Six Sigma & SPC processes to prepare reports of quality escapements.
- Analyze inspection functions for statistical sampling applications and prepare inspection plans and monitored their use.
