  • Working for various contractors, i.e., Rosidin Electric, Con J. Frankie Electric Inc., Blocka Construction.
  • Practice good safety behavior in and around electrical yards and equipment. Lock Out tag out procedures; when working in and around live electrical switch gear, motors, transformers, motor control centers, PLC cabinets, disconnects.
  • Set, wire and test high-voltage Transformers.
  • Experience with high-voltage circuit breakers, testing them, racking them in and out, turning them on and off.
  • Set and wire motor control center and set the control to the motors before hitting the main breaker on the motor control center. Test motor control center with an ohmmeter to ensure there is not a direct short between a,b,c phase to ground.
  • Set and wire High-voltage switchgear 4160kv to include testing with an Ohmmeter to ensure no continuity between a,b,c and to ground.
  • Set up desired voltage for battery banks.
  • Ensure battery chargers are charging the batteries properly including the out-put of correct voltage and amperage.
  • Set, wire and test large generators.
  • Troubleshoot electrical circuits to include but not limited to, branch circuit possible loose neutral possible loose hot wire possible lose ground. Including lighting, relays, motors, PLCs Motor control center, transformers using a multimeter for this type of troubleshooting or a rotation meter or an ammeter.
  • Knowledge of Meggers to test the insulation on energized wire. Before any circuit is energize a Meggers should be used to test the insulation on energized wires.
  • Extensive knowledge with wiring and ladder diagrams to include the ability to draw them.

As the Northern California Electrician i was responsible for keeping all water treatment plants and all well sites running with in the Northern California District. i was also responsible for the Air conditioners running at the well sites. To keep the electrical equipment cool i also would calibrate transducers weather it would be for level, PSI, or flow. i would also preform electrical P.M. work that would include checking the contacts in a contactor to see if they were in good working order. torquing down all electrical connections to its specific Torq Torrance. Preforming a Megger test on all wires to make sure the insolation is good and Megging the motors to make sure the motor windings are good and not shorted. i also would preform electrical test with a volt meter to make sure there is a balanced voltage coming from the utility company. i also would do an amp draw on the pump and motor to make sure the amps that the motor was drawing is with in the motors FLA, i would make sure all fuse are the correct size. accreting to the wiring diagram. i would test all light on the site. make sure the photocell was working and the lighting contactor. Test all receptacles and GFIs. There is much more Duties that i was responsible for.
