I am a personable and dedicated individual in all aspects of life, including school, work, and my personal interests. I have an intense passion for Public Health, specifically pertaining to the research and study of infectious diseases and prevention methods. I am often times taking leadership roles in the workplace, and my hope is that I can do the same in my future career. I enjoy coming up with solutions to problems and analyzing issues to create better conditions for those around me. I would say that I am extremely empathic and caring towards my colleagues, family and friends. While I tend to focus on my work and school passionately and intensely, that does not prevent me from reaching out to those in need of support, and drawing my attention to others in a way that will help them most. I am a very confident woman that loves to take initiative and solve problems in leadership opportunities however, I will not do so until I have heard feedback from my peers and have taken into consideration many perspectives, approaches, and ideas.
As a USF undergraduate student, it is my goal to obtain a bachelors degree in Public Health. I am minoring in Infection Control. Post-graduate education will involve obtaining an MPH, followed by a PhD in Public Health. My dream is to become an established, well-rounded research epidemiologist. I realized during my time at USF that my ultimate wish is to improve the health outcomes of many populations across the globe. Hopefully, I will be able to specialize in infectious diseases and work my way up in public health organizations to meet this goal. As of now, I am working two jobs and enrolled at USF full-time, which is no easy task. However, I do this for a reason, and I can truly say that keeping a busy schedule has helped me establish myself as a punctual and balanced individual.
