• To design bespoke rails to transport the customer on a stairlift between floors - this can include single story properties, multiple floors, non standard angled and curved staircases.
• To model all staircases and turn them into a 3D model, repair any errors that the sales team created when surveying.
• Outside the box thinking to give the best creative design possible.
• To offer support to all sales advisors when they are on site and encounter any issues. They use a custom modelling software that is controlled by the Rail Design team.
• I was also responsible for all Northern American designs during my employment. (Approximately 1800 drawings per year).
• Daily conversations with the dealer management team, which also included trouble shooting and problem solving.
• Regular liaison meetings with my manager to discuss targets and returning drawings in a timely fashion.
• I was also responsible for my own time management and work schedule.

I started from a junior designer and worked my way uo through the pay grades to senior plus rail designer in just under 5 years ( the average is approx 7 years). Learning basic designs as a jr designer and passing my probationary period with flying colors, I then went on steadily progressing trough the next 4 levels learning and pushing myself to the top level. My last year in teh office in the UK before transfering to the USA, I was filling in for a team leader who was out.
