  • As Shop Foreman, I supervised the daily operations and services to the clients needs and Operations Manager, to coordinate jobs and task and maintenance of equipment and machinery, to insure that operations run smoothly and jobs get done at a timely manner.
  • Supervising and training staff on the process of (SOP's)
  • Creating and managing the staff, maintenance, and work schedules.
  • Enforcing safety regulations and protocols.
  • Overseeing work to anticipate, detect, and address factors that impede operations.
  • Conducting performance reviews with staff.
  • Meeting with management to deliver feedback and develop work optimization strategies and (KPI) process.
  • Implementing strategies to optimize workflow and operational efficiency.
  • Ensuring that all equipment and machinery are properly operated and maintained.
  • Monitoring inventory levels and replenishing supplies as needed.
  • Performing administrative tasks such as updating and filing equipment orders, stock receipts, and staff schedules.
  • Lead welder duties.
  • As the lead welder I made sure the project was set as engineer drawings specified for the project in hand.
  • My duty was to double check drawings and double check material count to place the correct order of material to be used for specific jobs and tasks.
  • My duty as lead welder was to set up and fit up material on the jigs. Double check placement and measurements along with blue print specification. Once complete I will double check the job for any placement change (Do to the heat when welding) then send over to paint or powder coating.
  • Other duties where to keep jobs coming in for the next day.
  • Making sure Welders had the proper training and set up of machine.
  • Estimated costs on materials and outside sourcing services.
  • Having prints ready for the next day task for the shop and Welders.
  • (TIG)
  • Materials used 95% of the time, 4043, 5356, and 5052 (Aluminum filler)
  • These materials are used for the fit up and welding process.
  • Tig welding aluminum requires a steady hand and precise technique to achieve quality results. It is essential to have the right equipment, including a suitable welder, tungsten electrodes, and filler material.
  • Preparing the aluminum by thoroughly cleaning the surface is crucial for a successful weld. Mastering the art of controlling the heat input is key to preventing burn-through and producing a strong, aesthetically pleasing weld. Ultimately, practice and patience are vital in becoming proficient at Tig welding aluminum.
  • (MIG)
  • Welding steel using the MIG process is a versatile skill to acquire. It allows you to join metal pieces together effectively and strongly. Understanding the proper settings for voltage and wire speed is crucial for a successful weld. Remember to maintain a steady hand and consistent travel speed for optimal results. Furthermore, always prioritize safety by wearing appropriate protective gear.
