The Laminator Operator is responsible for the daily operation of the Laminator, to assure personal safety while consistently meeting Company demands and specifications, specifically pertaining to quality, cost, and general production efficiencies.
-Ensure daily activities are conducted at all times in a safe and proper manner.
-Ensure raw materials are allocated to the job as required and ensure excess raw materials are returned to inventory as required.
-Set up equipment based on job specifications, to meet appropriate requirements of the job specifications.
-Ability to operate the equipment in a safe and effective manner, including auxiliary equipment installed in-line to the Laminator.
-Perform quality checks prior to production and monitor Laminator quality during production. Isolate and identify, as required, product that does not meet Company and Customer standards.
-Provide quality Customer samples as required.
-Understand all related aspects of the job jacket and management information system to ensure paperwork, records, documents, etc. are accurate and all required information entered timely and accurately into the management information system and/or approved forms.
-Work in conjunction with Scheduling Coordinator to accurately track, enter and verify daily jobs completed quantities. Also, to schedule jobs to meet Customer demands while maintaining efficiencies of production.
-Communicate daily with the Supervisor on matters of importance which could negatively impact quality, cost, safety, or employee morale.
-Effectively and appropriately communicate daily with auxiliary departments regarding matters which could impact your ability to effectively produce quality product.
The Press Assistant/ Helper is responsible daily for:
-Gathering raw materials, anilox roller and tools/dies needed by the Press Operator.
-Preparing the inks needed by the Press Operator.
-Setting up the required anilox roller and blades for a specific color job.
-Clean up Press when Operator is finished, clean anilox roller, blades, and inks, returned excess materials and inks.
-Maintain the work area clean and orderly before and after shift.
