Adminsters Biologics in the home setting to patients with autoimmune and immunodeficiency disorders. Responsible for patient assessment, peripheral IV starts, medication administration, and monitoring for complications, along with patient education related to infusion therapy.

• Managed patients with CHF, arrhythmias, CABG workups. Drips included Heparin, Cardiazem, Amiodarone, Lasix and Bumex among others.
• Floated to other telemetry and med-surg units as needed.

Telemetry Unit

• Trauma step down. Cared for patients with gunshot wounds, MVA injuries, and spinal cord injuries among others. Management of IV drips, central lines, feeding tubes, chest tubes, drains and tracheostomies. Management of wounds, frequent dressing changes. Ratio: 1:4 (Day shift)

• Treated high-acuity COVID patients requiring high-flow nasal cannula. Ratio: 1:5 (Day shift)

• Telemetry observation for patients pre and post cath lab. Ratio: 1:5 (Day shift)

• Lock down behavioral unit for patients requiring telemetry monitoring. Cared for patients with overdose-induced psychosis, ETOH withdrawal, schizophrenia, and attempted suicide cases. Frequent deescalation required. Collaborated closely with case management and social work in transfers to psychiatric care facilities.
