My name is Riley Leversedge, and I am currently a student-athlete at Marquette University. I am experienced in fast-paced environments and know how to use past experiences in new situations.
I am currently working as a coach for a high school club lacrosse team. This job requires me to help lead and teach girls how to improve their abilities. Because this team is highly competitive, I will also be helping to get these girls recruited to play in college, requiring me to communicate with college coaches on behalf of the players.
I worked as a nanny for four summers. This job included taking care of two kids and one infant from around 8 in the morning to around 6 in the afternoon. I would provide supervision and guidance to ensure the safety of the children. I would drive the kids to activities, prepare meals according to dietary needs, and assist in daily routines. This job helped familiarize me with the needs of kids from the ages of 8 weeks to 12 years old.
While coaching, I helped to develop and execute drills to improve the skills of young lacrosse players. I helped asses individual players ability and provide feedback on performance while maintaining a positive but competitive environment. This job also required coordinating with other teams and parents to create a smooth and organized schedule.
As a cleaner, I learned how to work diligently while unsupervised. I was required to clean yoga studios: cleaning mirrors, wiping down mats, mopping, and sweeping the floors. I was also required to clean maintain the front lobby; restocking merchandise, doing laundry, vacuuming and dusting and checked stock levels.
