RILEY OWENS

• Medical Assistant Certification Program, 2023-2024, Selected for the Keller ISD Medical Assistant Program. Became a Certified Clinical Medical Assistant in May of 2024. The program included training and certification for clinical procedures and administrative responsibilities including assisting physicians, caring for patients, lab tests and phlebotomy, cardiac monitoring, and administering medications.
• Practicum in Health Science Clinical Rotations, 2022-2023, Selected for the Keller ISD Clinical Rotations Practicum. The program included shadowing in various clinical environments such as hospital units, surgery, clinical settings, and dental offices for several hours each week over 7 months.
• National Honor Society, 2022-2024, Served in the NHS including 50 hours of community service each school year, teacher and staff appreciation days, and teacher volunteer work before and during the school year.
• Charger Champion, 2023-2024, Selected to serve as a freshman mentor throughout the year. Worked and led summer freshman orientation camps. Served as a leader to groups of freshmen to help guide them through the school year.

USAG Gymnast - Level 9 competitive gymnast, trained 23+ hours each week. Member of the Sunbelt Gymnastics Academy and Empire Gymnastics Academy. Career High: Received first in the all-around at the USA Regional Level 7 championship in Kansas City, MO.

• Class Treasurer, Served as high school class treasurer, responsible to ensure that class projects and activities stayed within the class budget and that all bills were paid and accounted for. Worked to raise money for the class by organizing various fundraisers.
• Asian Association, President of the Asian Culture Association, 2021-2024, Volunteered and led in school events and programs to teach about different Asian cultures.
• Senior Assisted Living Project, Lead Organizer, 2020-2021, Led and organized a summer and fall service project of sending cards and puzzles to seniors in the local assisted living and memory care center, to provide comfort during the pandemic.
• Jewelry Fundraiser for Homeless, Lead Organizer, 2020-2021, Organized a jewelry fundraiser. Profits went to purchase hygiene supplies for the Philip's Wish homeless foundation.

• Meals on Wheels Tarrant County, 2018-Present, Pick up and deliver meals to houses of homebound and low-income seniors throughout the Hurst-Euless-Bedford area each week.
• Community Link Food Bank Volunteer, 2021-2023, Volunteered as a grocery shopper and warehouse stocker for families in need. The food bank serves more than 19,000 families in North Tarrant County.
• Northwood Church Senior Program, 2020-2021, Delivered prepared meals to homebound seniors in Haltom City.
