Summary

Riley Sims is a veteran law enforcement officer with over eleven years of experience and is currently a detective in the Criminal Investigations Division. Detective Sims began working with the Warner Robins Police Department in February of 2013.

After seven years on patrol, Detective Sims was promoted to an Investigator in the Narcotics Unit in April of 2020. There Detective Sims led several investigations resulting in the apprehension of local drug dealers. Many times these investigations required Detective Sims to make tactical plans, coordinate between local law enforcement and federal agencies, and conduct high risk warrant services to apprehend the suspects. While assigned to this unit, Detective Sims joined the Warner Robins SWAT team and is now a senior member of the team.

In May of 2023 Detective Sims was transferred to the Criminal Investigations Unit. In this unit Detective Sims has been tasked with conducting investigations into fraud, property, and high priority persons crimes. Detective Sims, while new to the unit, has also helped teach fellow and new detectives tactical techniques to aid in functions of their current job. Along with additional investigative techniques acquired while in the Narcotics Unit.
