Room patients and obtain vitals. Assist with in office procedures. Schedule surgeons for surgery according to their calendar and block times. Order labs and imaging per provider and follow up getting the results if they have not been received prior to the post op appointments. Read pathology reports and lab results to patients. Call in prescriptions to correct pharmacy and complete prior authorizations if needed. Crossed trained to do front desk when it is not my day for clinic. Check in patients and make sure that all new patient paperwork has been completed prior to appt. Collect co-pays and balances owed. Verify that info in chart is up-to-date and make any corrections if needed. Take patients picture for their chart. Open new note for surgeon and document patients demographics.

Review and update medications, allergies, medical history, surgical history, family history, pharmacy and Circle of Care. Download CGM's / glucometers and attach report to chart for review from provider. Administer injections. Complete prior authorizations for all diabetic supplies. Request medical records if needed per provider. CGM placements along with teaching each patient on how to use the device. Cover other depts. when needed per supervisor.
