Career educator with success in teaching at all levels, adult, adolescent, and elementary students, in the arts, business and academic arena. Possess the ability to disseminate information to students and stakeholders to provide educational supports and scaffolds to attain maximum student effort. Strong adherence to regulatory guidelines, and the Anchorage School District's initiative for Destination 2026, to have 80% of students proficient in reading, writing and 55% of students proficient in math.

• Served as English Department Chair where students saw academic gains exceeding 60% on standardized testing
• Served on the Restorative Justice Team assisting in effective measures for Behavior Management, where we established norms for students to modify behaviors
• Served as the Building Liaison and Collaborative Team Lead for Professional Learning Communities where we identified and implemented best practices for student success
• Served as Teacher in Charge during the principal's absence to assist in building management
• Served in Title I school as an after school tutor and support for struggling students to fill in learning gaps
• Served as a mentor and instructional coach to new teachers to assist in classroom management and pedagogy
• Served as a coach to the school's public speaking team "The Informers"
• Served as a Jump Start instructor for new teachers to induct them into our learning community
• Supported summer learning opportunities for students to reinforce and enhance learning in preparation for the next academic school year.
