  • As part of the Supply Chain Operations team, boarded Gogo, a technology provider in the aviation business to spearhead two projects in conjunction to handling day-day engineering repair activities of different products: firstly, provide spend visibility on repairs VS budget by breaking down repair activity and its associated cost into smaller segments, and lastly, reducing inventory of RMA units whilst developing and implementing a new RMA process flow.
  • Designed, planned, developed and implemented a complete RMA (Return Material Authority) operation process flow project along with cost savings strategies- Upstream to Downstream.
  • By identifying and analyzing current processes and procedures, I have implemented a new future state that resulted in a $200,000+ instant savings within a span of five months from hire. This process also paved way for a great deal of spend visibility to executive leadership.
  • For yearly budget, forecasted $10M+ future spend on repairs and presented to Leadership Team which was in-line with the Financial Planning & Accounting (FPA) team prediction.
  • Managed and tracked yearly spend vs budget of about $10M - $14M by recording various vendor quotes and validating them with the planned engineering repair action of LRU (Line Replaceable Unit) repair with vendors.
  • While working as a liaison between our customer supply chain leaders and suppliers, I have prioritized by deciding and communicating repair activity at supplier bases. This prioritization was done by understanding demand of active/open order and needed safety stock at depots.
  • Weekly presentation and reporting to senior leadership on cost and count of inventory at supplier location.
  • Provided high level visibility to leadership via custom reports for decision making.
  • Spearheaded inventory reduction project with suppliers. In a span of 6 months, successfully provided results in reducing count of units at supplier location from 450 to 220 units. i.e. 50% reduction.
  • In-parallel to the above project, I have also led a continuous improvement project via MS Project to define process flow of field/customer returns and its repair with third party vendors. This provided a great understanding to repair and the cost model around it.
  • Managed RMA repair activity across supplier base by reviewing and validating repair work scopes and seeking budget approval for ongoing repair activity. Worked with purchasing on PO execution.
  • With weekly meetings for different suppliers, assessed and ensured suppliers can meet set requirements for on-time product availability within budget and quality (product airworthiness). Baseline to track KPIs.
