Years ago, I moved from a 15 year successful career, as the Chef at the S&S restaurant in Cambridge, to a Service Advisor position at BMW of Peabody. At that time I was a collector of vintage BMW's, and thought it would be fun. Through hard work I continued my career and am looking for a position, that will allow me to use my years of experience as both a mentor and problem solver.
While employed as Service Manager at Herb Chambers Volvo Norwood, I was approached by Corporate and asked to take over the Service department at Bentley Boston. This was a difficult choice, as I enjoyed my position and all staff members.
This dealership sold and serviced Rolls-Royce, Bentley, Lamborghini , Maserati and Alfa Romeo. Handling 5 manufacturers, with 2 advisors and 6 technicians, was not an easy task. Although I felt as I had made strides in improving productivity and creating strong processes, I was terminated the week prior to Christmas.
Hired by Herb Chambers himself, after I had left my previous position. Managed 3 advisors, 11 technicians in a busy store. Implementation of great process to streamline our service functions. Responsible for scheduling and dispatching all work, while handling all internal repair orders, allowing my advisors to focus on customers.
Originally hired as a service advisor, after almost 30 years in the restaurant business. Moved up the ranks over 21 years to manage our service location at 221 Andover St. Responsible for 3 advisors, 15 technicians and the valet and receptionist staff. Handled all customer issues, company insurance claims, loaner fleet, scheduling, reporting and payroll. Keep business moving smoothly through three major renovations. Hopefully when we speak, you will grasp my passion for the automotive industry.
