Managed national baseball coverage for SB Nation website, which included daily writing and editing, plus managing as many as four full-time writers, along with numerous part-timers. Created first-in-class baseball column that did a great deal to popularize the growing field of sabermetrics, later made famous in bestselling book, Moneyball (for which I was both a source and first-read editor). In 2019, Neyer's POWER BALL: ANATOMY OF A MODERN BASEBALL GAME (published by Harper) earned the CASEY Award as the previous year's best baseball best baseball book. The same year, the Society for American Baseball Research (SABR) honored Neyer with a Henry Chadwick Award, created by SABR to honor baseball's greatest researchers
