I am sort of a "rare bird". As you can see from my resume, I have only really had three real jobs my entire life. I am 55 years old and I am hoping to make a move in what I hope will be my final career change. I have debated for years about making the move into insurance and I am finally at a point that I think I am ready. I have always been a hard worker who listens well and I have been a dedicated employee to whoever I have worked for. I believe I was very good at sales working for Toenges where I was consistantly in the top three in sales from month to month among a staff of 10-12 sales people. I was given the task of training new sales people as well as handling opening and closing of the store. I have always lived by the moto "treat people the way you want to me treated". I believe that is why I had so many repeat customers who would wait to have me work with them. I really believe I would be a good fit for this Outside Sales Associate position. I realize my situation is unique, but there is not another candidate out there that would look at this position as seriously as I would. I am not a young person out of college who wants to try there hand at sales. I am not able to move back into my parents basement if I don't succeed. I guess I could try that but the people who live there now might think that is a little strange. In fact they might even call the police. So, as I head towards my last 10-12 years of being in the workforce, I would really like to transition into something like this position where I can work my hardest for me, my customers and my family doing something that really helps the community around me find the right products for their needs. I want to be the person that people will come to for their insurance needs because they know they can trust me. That means everything to me. I have raised two awesome daughters who have been taught that treating people right and putting others first is the best way to live life. And as I am now a proud grandfather to our first grandson, I would like to finish up my working career being an example to him as well of how treating people well and being a trustworthy person in all that we do is something that we should all strive for. Thanks....Rob
