Operated equipment safely and efficiently at all times. Executed daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections and documentation in compliance with MSHA guidelines and company policies. Operated track dozer on a dump using CAES system in overburden managing truck flow. Also pushing down to a shovel in overburden and covering up smokers. Subbing out soft spots on dumps and along run to improve run for truck flow and wear and tear on equipment.
Manage employees in equipment transporting them from one piece of equipment to another. Working with Dispatch making sure we have the number of equipment running we need to meet our train line up. Doing inspections of High walls, pits, hopper areas, roads, dust control, parking areas for equipment, make sure rides at end of shift are where they need to be. Fill out and sign daily inspection Booklet for MSHA. Enter and check employees time in KRONOS system for payroll, Help supervisor with various other tasks needed during shift.
Mine Safety Health Team-
Caballo-Communicated with crew members about changes and improvements needed then took that info to a select team to help address the issues. Served on the committee of rules and procedures redoing the current SOP. Having the opportunity to be a part of Incident investigation and review.
MSPIT-
Get input from crew members on improvements needed to help with a safer work environment along with better production process. Take that information to a select committee to work towards a solution and be a part of the process. Includes but not limited to figuring out what equipment is needed how many hours for each equipment the man hours needed and the length of the job. Also learning the process of proper paper work to get some changes accomplished. Work with other departments and the supervisors along with the department head all while trying to achieve the changes desired through compromise working with others to come up with ideas on how to get fellow crew members involved in safety program. Learning to deal with a variety of individuals showing them the proper way to do process and answer questions.
