As a member of the third shift team, you also act as an assigned member to many other homicides that occur throughout the evening hours. The assignments range from Lead Investigator, Secondary Detective, Crime Scene Detective, Canvas, Autopsy, and Hospital visits.

Vehicle identification number flips, insurance frauds and title frauds. I worked multiple investigations involving sting operations, fencing operations, and purchasing stolen autos and other motorized vehicles. Bait car operations. Creating and executing search warrants, testifying in both civil and criminal cases. Reviewing and processing thousands of reports involving auto theft related crimes. Notable cases involved overseas and international thefts requiring work with Customs and Border Patrol.

  • Worked as a maintenance man for a plating factory which plated steel for General Motors and other vehicle manufacturing companies. By 1992, I tested for and was promoted to Senior Maintenance and was given 3rd shift responsibilities.
  • Work entailed Electrical, 440 3-Phase, rebuilding rectifiers, plumbing, pump rebuilding and preventive maintenance, welding and building worm gear driven lines as well as hydraulic systems. Filtration systems and cooling towers. The factory maintained and stored highly corrosive and dangerous chemicals. Safety was a priority in day-to-day operations.
