Accomplishments and Outcomes
I spearheaded a complex Oracle HR and Payroll implementation for a large healthcare client, integrating 18 independently operating legal entities into a single Oracle HCM environment. By leveraging Oracle’s robust capabilities, I architected a streamlined HCM and payroll solution, reducing thousands of historic pay and deduction codes to a few hundred efficient elements. Additionally, I designed a new HR and payroll organizational structure, processes, and audit system to manage HCM operations for over 28,000 employees across the 18 entities. Oracle recognized this implementation as one of the smoothest and most effective, given the client’s complexity.
At Salo, I contributed to several proposals and RFP responses, securing four additional deals valued between $150,000 and $3.5M. One notable project involved a comprehensive review of a large state university’s payroll systems, processes, and integrations to address persistent processing issues. My recommendations led to a 20% reduction in HR and payroll headcount and increased payroll accuracy to over 99% through automation, streamlined processes, and a refined organizational structure focused on employee experience.

Accomplishments and Outcomes
As a key leader at Capgemini, I played a pivotal role in refocusing the company’s efforts on HR strategy and return-to-work initiatives post-COVID. Starting with a small team of two, I successfully built the HR strategy brand internally, partnering with market units, technology deployment partners, and target clients to initiate HR strategy conversations. This effort resulted in a significant increase in annual project revenue from $2M to over $60M and expanded our team from 2 to 60 members. I also identified a strategic opportunity with ServiceNow, leading to a partnership that positioned us as their go-to-market partner around employee experience. My efforts created a robust pipeline of opportunities, significantly raising the awareness and capability of our HR strategy consulting within the organization.
In addition to these achievements, I have been deeply committed to coaching and employee development. I have mentored team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional growth. By implementing structured development programs and providing regular feedback, I have helped employees enhance their skills and advance their careers. Accomplishments and Outcomes
At OTG Management, I was brought on board to review and assess the HR ecosystem due to significant system and process issues. I reorganized the teams into distinct program units, clearly defining roles and responsibilities for each. My comprehensive review of processes and systems, in collaboration with HR partners outside of Total Rewards, led to a reimplementation of the benefits system, eliminating a $2M annual funding shortfall with the self-funded health plans. I also implemented a global payroll processing checklist, which included new balancing reports, reducing payroll errors from up to 30% per cycle to less than 0.5%. Additionally, I reinvented our recruiting process, transitioning from in-person hiring events to a streamlined virtual process, resulting in a 25% increase in candidate throughput, better starting rates, and improved retention rates.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, I managed the challenging task of laying off 90% of the service staff while developing a comprehensive return-to-work strategy. This involved creating a phased approach to rehiring and reintegrating staff, ensuring safety protocols were in place, and maintaining clear communication with all employees to keep them engaged and informed. My efforts in coaching and employee development were crucial during this period, as I provided support and guidance to remaining staff, helping them adapt to new roles and responsibilities. This holistic approach ensured that OTG Management could navigate the crisis effectively and emerge stronger.

At WeWork, I joined during a period of hyper-growth to review and standardize global HR processes, identifying gaps that could be addressed through process improvements or technology. During my tenure, we implemented the Workday Global Mobility module for our mobile workforce, automating processes related to paying expenses and payroll earned in foreign countries, and allocating journal expenses appropriately. I also redesigned the global incentive compensation programs, implementing Xactly Corp’s Incent system for calculation tracking and global payments. Additionally, we utilized Solium’s Shareworks platform to maintain all stock history and transactions, handling two stock tender events on the platform. I also built a new Long-Term Incentive (LTI) matrix, integrating it with both our hiring and annual merit processes.
In preparation for WeWork’s IPO, I played a crucial role in ensuring our HR systems and processes were robust and compliant. I planned and executed the integration of six new company acquisitions and one divestiture, totaling nearly 2,000 employees globally. This involved meticulous planning and coordination to ensure seamless transitions and alignment with our existing operations. Additionally, I designed and implemented a PMO for People Systems to manage over 100 HR projects, establishing controls, plans, and metrics to ensure successful project execution. My efforts contributed significantly to the company’s readiness for the IPO and its ability to scale efficiently during a period of rapid growth.

At CompuCom, I was brought on board during the finalization of their acquisition by Office Depot to stabilize the current Workday platform and HR operations, and to plan for the transition to Office Depot’s Oracle HCM Cloud platform. Collaborating with HR stakeholders, we identified, prioritized, and implemented an enhancement plan for Workday to ensure data cleanliness before transitioning to Oracle. We meticulously documented existing HR processes and policies, laying the groundwork for a smooth transition. Additionally, we stabilized the global onboarding process for new employees and implemented a 5-tiered service model for HRIT system support, which significantly improved communication between teams and reduced the number of monthly service tickets.
In preparation for the transition, I also managed the integration of Oracle finance systems, ensuring alignment with the new HR platform. This involved detailed planning and coordination to ensure that financial operations were seamlessly integrated with HR processes. My efforts in managing these transitions and integrations were crucial in maintaining operational stability and efficiency during a period of significant change. Accomplishments and Outcomes
At Collaborative Solutions, I focused on HCM implementations with significant Payroll and Total Rewards components. During my tenure, I successfully led the implementation of Workday HCM, payroll, and benefits for Clorox and Workday HCM and payroll for Boeing Employees Credit Union (BECU). One of my notable projects was leading the acquisition of the Borgata Casino in Atlantic City by MGM Resorts, integrating them into the existing Workday platform. This involved meticulous planning and execution to ensure a seamless transition and alignment with MGM’s existing systems, considering the complexity of both organizations operating 24 hours per day.
Additionally, I played a crucial role in designing the global payroll integration between Workday, SAP, and various other systems to deliver payroll in 70 countries. This complex project involved coordinating with 25 local payroll providers and integrating with the legacy SAP platform to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing worldwide. This work was part of Avnet’s Phase 2 global go-live of Workday, and included ensuring all integrations were in place and functioning smoothly. At Chipotle, I was brought in during the final stage of their Phase 1 Workday implementation to diagnose project delays and provide recommendations for Phase 2. During my tenure, I led the re-engineering of the entire payroll process, collaborating with Workday’s Payroll Product team to enhance time and attendance tracking accuracy (down to the hundredth of a second) and upgrade the payroll calculation process from single-threaded to multi-threaded processing. This overhaul significantly improved payroll efficiency and accuracy. Additionally, I redesigned the benefits process and Workday Benefit configuration to resolve persistent issues enrolling new eligible employees and auditing existing benefits and vendors. We also planned and executed the global payroll vendor integration with SafePay in four countries, ensuring seamless payroll operations across borders.
Beyond these technical improvements, I actively contributed to Workday’s understanding of the hospitality sector by joining four design groups, including the Retail Advisory Group and co-chairing the High-Volume SIG. My insights helped shape Workday’s product development to better meet industry needs. I also shared my expertise at the 2015 Workday Rising Convention, where I spoke on time and attendance, highlighting best practices and innovations. This project not only improved accuracy but also enhanced efficiency, ensuring timely and correct compensation for a large portion of Walmart’s workforce.
In addition to my work with Walmart, I actively engaged in business development, reaching out to existing Perficient clients to identify new opportunities for HR consulting services. I reviewed and re-engineered several processes, resulting in nearly a 30% reduction in redundant work, which allowed us to avoid filling four open positions, reduce overtime, and improve SLA performance. Additionally, I instituted a processing audit system that significantly reduced payroll, benefit, tax, and garnishment errors. I reorganized the team to better support clients and clarify responsibilities, ensuring efficient and effective service delivery.
