• Conduct field investigation activities by traveling to property site, photographing and diagramming damage and writing an estimate for repair of the damage including reviewing fire or police reports, obtaining recorded statements
• Assist the policy holder with itemizing inventory of any contents damage or loss and determine actual cash value/ replacement cost value
• Explain coverage of loss, assists policyholders with itemization of repairs and additional expenses Investigates the facts, research policies and endorsements to assess coverage and determine approval or denial of payment
• Assist displaced policyholder in finding temporary living arrangements under ALE coverage and determine amounts needed in reserves
• Determine and negotiate settlement amounts and expense payments within stated authority and complies with check security procedures
• Identify and implement subrogation potential on losses as to the company practice and procedures
• Prepare written reports to management or underwriting with property loss or claim value information .
