Assemble and weld large structural columns, beams, platforms, staircases, concrete imbeds and handrail. from prints and verbal directions. cut parts to length with torch and bandsaw when needed.

• Supervised 4 apprentices and offered specific recommendations to improve work quality.
• Inspected welded projects to verify alignment with blueprint specifications
• Used gauges, templates and other measuring devices to inspect production parts

5-8hr shifts, 40-56 hrs per week.

• Repaired castings by diagnosing and performing repairs with various welding techniques, ie; Gas Tungsten Arc Welder and/or Auto feed Gas Tungsten Arc Welder.
• Welded repairs by placing castings on benches, welded in flat, horizontal, vertical and overhead positions, using bracing and minimizing heat input to control distortion, and using various tools such as mirrors in difficult areas.
• Completed welds in compliance to PCC process control procedures and external aerospace standards, etc. With 98% acceptance in all non-destructive testing formats.
• Inspected completed welds to assure proper technique and adequate metal deposit, and critical measurements met required visual and dimensional specifications. using precision measuring tools such as micrometers and dial veneers. Tolerances to .005.
• Maintained all welding equipment by making occasional repairs and minor maintenance on welding tools.
• TATS (Task Analytical Training System) Certified.

• 4-10 hr shifts, 50 hrs a week,
• Tack-up of paper roll clamps for fork lift attachments. Placing pieces into automated Tack-up fixture and adjust to specific blueprint dimensions. Used overhead crane to load onto manipulator/rotator then weld 100% using flux core in flat, horizontal and overhead positions. Grinding (cleaning) to part specific blueprint requirements. When complete moved to next operation using forklift.

5-8hr shifts, 40 hrs per week.

Fabrication, welding and set up of large structural lumber mill conveyor systems (sorters, stackers, saws, kilns and tanks). Rough assembly for troubleshooting in shop then tear-down system for loading of semi-truck for shipment in less then 3 hours.

• Closely monitored project and material layouts and specifications to effectively cut, straiten and bevel metal for fabrication.
• Inspected welds and checked whether critical measurements met specifications upon completion.
• Skilled with gas tungsten arc, gas metal arc, flux-cored arc, plasma arc, shielded metal arc.
• Operated hoists, cranes and power tools to fabricate, assemble and dismantle projects.
