Robert Bosworth

The Senior Manager of HV Safety and Security is responsible for the planning, implementation and management of (i) enforcement of IMSA High Voltage Safety regulations and other duties described in Attachment 8 of the Sporting Regulations, (ii) event access controls, (iii) crash investigations and (iv) pre-event safety checks. The Senior Manager, HV Safety and Security will serve as a member of the at-event leadership team and provide subject matter expertise, process checks, and safety advocacy for event safety and emergency preparedness and response.

Served as a member of the Command Team with duties that included (i) supervision of emergency operations, (ii) develop and administer objective-based training program for new recruits and fire department shift staff, (iii) supervision of fire departments first responder program, and (iv) served as Emergency Manager for the Town of Chapel Hill under the Town Manager.

As Assistant Chief of Business and Logistics, responsible for (i) development and administration of the Department line-item annual budget, (ii) acquisition of equipment and supplies for Fire Department, (iii) designated Safety Officer in compliance with the National Fire Protection Association 1500 Standard, and (iv) served as assistant to the Fire Chief.

Served as a Public Safety Officer with duties to include (i) responsibilities associated with police officer, (ii) responding to medical calls as NC Emergency Medical Technician, and (iii) duties included in fire suppression when assigned to Chapel Hill Fire Department. Additional duties included member of the Special Emergency Response Team with Chapel Hill Police Department.

Served as Suppression Fire Captain responsible for supervision and operations of apparatus fire crew in performance of emergency response and served as acting Battalion Chief (shift commander) in his/her absence.

Performed duties as assigned to emergency medical response staff to include life support, emergency response and disaster mitigation.
