I love to paint portraits. It's my meditation. It enables you to focus on the details that make up a persons face in a way that you wouldn't ordinarily have the time to do. There is also something magical about the chaos of organizing paint on a canvas and having it suddenly represent a likeness of whoever or whatever your subject might be. I think I'm particularly drawn to portraiture because I love to get to know people and here their stories.
