Hobbies and Skills

In the past, I have enjoyed building engines which started in High School. I had the benefit of learning under the best automotive teacher in Northern California. I also had the benefit of working for and with a local performance engine builder. I have built several High Performance engines in my life and repaired countless more. I have been trained on the use of Lathes, various engine bores and hones, valve grinders, balancers, mills and surfacer's.

My grandfather passed his love of wood working to me. With wood working, I am more of a tinkerer. But I have been trained to use all sorts of machinery such as table, miter, band, scroll, and jig saws; as well as lathes, planers and sanders.

I grew up in the Redwoods and Sierra Nevada Mountains in California and have enjoyed hiking many trails and some un-groomed forest land.

I also really enjoy fishing even though I am not very good at it.
