Committed to advancing into leadership and administration within healthcare. Leveraging six years of service in the United States Marine Corps and eight years of post-anesthesia care unit (PACU) experience, I bring a disciplined, team-oriented approach to patient care. Passionate about mentorship, enhancing patient outcomes, and driving operational excellence.
During the COVID-19 pandemic I worked as a frontline worker in the COVID ICU. I delivered direct patient care, monitored & stabilized patients, liaised between patient & families during limited contact & no visitation policies, conducted assessments, diagnostic tests, titration of multiple vasoactive medications, sedation and paralytics. I maintained composure during high stress rapid response situations while caring for 2-3 high acuity patients.
As a recent graduate with the guidance of my preceptors, I gained knowledge & hands on experience. At the completion of the program I completed my research project on Perianesthesia Bedside Handoff.
Administration of medications and IV therapy, interpreted lab results to patients, wound care/applying splints, assist in minor surgeries/procedures, venipuncture, perform rapid Strep & Flu tests etc.
