Key Job Duties and Functions:

• Situational Awareness & Monitoring:Monitoring active incidents, 911 calls, and radio traffic to identify the need for additional resources or supervisory intervention.
• Command & Control: Coordinating responses to critical incidents (under DGO 8.01), establishing command posts, and directing field units.
• Resource Coordination: Directing the deployment of specialized units (e.g., Tactical, Hostage/Crisis Negotiation Team) and coordinating with the Department of Emergency Management (DEM).
• Technical/Data Support: Providing real-time information to officers, maintaining video surveillance assets, and supporting mobile data terminals (MDTs) and department databases.
• Reporting & Compliance: Reviewing reports, ensuring criminal charges are properly filed, and managing station-level staffing.
