• In 2014 whilst living on Boracay Island in the Philippines I purchased a 50 foot, 29 ton sloop. This was used primarily for hosting commercial sailing trips for tourists, featuring an onboard chef and entertainment. It shortly thereafter became listed as Tripadvisor's number 1 rated outdoor activity on the island. Organizing these trips required key focuses on safety, navigation, client scheduling and satisfaction, and crew support. I did not fully understand the art of sailing, but knew how to attain talented and conscientous captains who did.
