Robert Evans

My entire career has been growing and maintaining my family's business. It existed between 1986 and 2022. It started at zero, and grossed over 1,000,000 annually with 5-7 employees at end.

My skillset includes assessing people's ability and accomplishing a goal with those set of skills. I can create a plan, produce items for plan, and then execute a course of action to achieve success.

I graduated from Valparaiso University with a degree in FInance.

I worked for Bank One, Merrillville, NA. from 1993-1998 as a Financial Analyst. I worked on Budgeting and Reporting. While there I implemented plans for fees for the newly introduced ATM machines, and also determined the lowest rate for savings before people would remove money from accounts.

While there I trained people in the use of a computer in the financial and customer accounting areas, and taught classes in basic spreadsheet use, because computer skills were fairly new and I had the ability, and my coworkers had need.

When Bank One was sold to chase, I stayed on for a year as I did work for every department in the bank. I provided reports and spreadsheets, maintained the IT department, and even spent half my week doing the final accounting and budgeting reports for Bank One, Lafayette, for their last 6 months.

The rest of my career was spent running Portage Quick Change, Inc. I have done every job that could be required in running an automotive repair and maintenance business. I taught myself every skill needed to run that business successfully, including hiring and training the right people.

The business was sold in 2022, because I am no longer able to work 6 days a week, which was a requirement of a small business. It was a success. I made and grew profit and shareholder wealth. I trained and coached many people to be successful.

I would like to begin a new journey with a different company and achieve success with the team I hope to have the pleasure to work with.

I am looking for an opportunity to use my skills to better my life and to work with people that will use our work to make our lives better and the company successful.
