Summary

As a member of the Marine Corps, I developed a strong sense of discipline, pride in my work, and the ability to adapt to new situations and challenges. These qualities have served me well in my professional career and I believe they will continue to be valuable assets as I move forward. After my time in the military, I took on a job as a general laborer, working 12-hour shifts as a personal challenge to understand the value of hard work and to take pride in what I do, no matter what the task may be. I then found myself drawn to the hospitality industry and started working as a bartender at a high traffic resort with no prior experience. I quickly learned the job on my feet and fell in love with the work, finding satisfaction in facilitating good times for guests. In a short time, I became the resort's highest earning bartender and am eager to continue improving my mixology skills and making a positive impact in the industry.

Leadership Experience

As a Non-Commissioned Officer in the Marine Corps, I developed strong leadership skills that were built upon the foundations of mutual respect. I learned the importance of leading by example, setting clear expectations for my team, and building trust and camaraderie through open and honest communication. I am constantly willing to face challenges and take on new responsibilities, which has helped me develop my leadership skills further. I believe in leading with integrity and putting the needs of my team before my own and am committed to helping others grow and develop their own skills, as I believe this is the most vital aspect of successful leaders. In my role as a Non-Commissioned Officer, I was responsible for leading and supervising a team of Marines, and I was able to effectively motivate and guide them towards the successful completion of missions. I am confident in my ability to lead and am excited to continue developing my skills and taking on new challenges in my career.

Communication Skills

I have excellent communication skills, honed through hours of sitting on a radio with spotty reception and translating and relaying critical information regarding artillery and air strikes. These experiences have taught me the importance of clear, concise, and effective communication, as well as the ability to adapt to different communication environments and challenges. I am confident in my ability to effectively communicate with team members, superiors, and have a track record of success in doing so. Whether through oral or written communication, I am able to effectively convey information and ideas in a way that is easy for others to understand and follow. My strong communication skills have been a valuable asset in my professional career and I believe they will continue to be an important part of my success moving forward.
