
In my law enforcement career spanning over 28 years, including more than 18 years in supervision, I have developed leadership skills that have benefited me in dealing with very dynamic and evolving situations requiring both quick and long term solutions.
Complete administrative duties in support of one of the largest federal judicial districts in the United States. Work closely with Intermediate Supervisors and Lead Court Security Officers to determine priorities for submitting documents regarding:

Weekly Alarm Checks
Monthly Statistical Reports
Computer and Printer Issues
Participate in periodic meetings with U.S. Marshal Supervisors regarding the proper protocol for completing and submitting reports in various systems maintained in the Communications Center.
Responsible for overseeing the training of CSOs assigned to the Communications Center at the First Street Courthouse in Los Angeles on the ENS Everbridge System.
Respond to emergent situations and assist in providing additional security presence at courthouses for shifts outside regular business hours.
Conducted daily oversight of CSOs assigned to the largest federal courthouse in the Central District of California. Maintained daily contact with Intermediate Supervisors to address all concerns with staffing and completing our goals.
Responsible for scheduling all 9 shifts with input from other Lead Court Security Officers. Assigned CSOs to other facilities based on security needs and also identified and sent those CSOs who needed to attend Phase 2 Training to FLETC Glynco/Walden Training Academy.
Monitored leave requests from CSOs to maintain adequate staffing levels and notified the proper chain of command of injuries and/or long term medical absences.
Completed and submitted paperwork in support of CSO payroll, projected hours of work, equipment and other required administrative paperwork as needed.
Attended periodic meetings with U.S. Marshals supervisors and other personnel to address security concerns and proper protocols.
Worked with Federal Judges and their staff regarding additional CSO coverage of high profile cases in our jurisdiction.
Maintained a cohesive and productive work environment by monitoring CSOs and addressing any concerns that rose to my attention.
Assigned in the Communications Center for almost 3 years. Developed a comprehensive knowledge of the CSO-003 reports, U.S, Marshals Fugitive Arrest Notifications, Daily Activity Logs and a thorough knowledge of the Emergency Notification System (ENS) for mass notifications of ongoing significant events affecting our area of operations.
Collateral Duties Experience:
Supervised the Los Angeles JTTF (Joint Terrorism Task Force) Group comprised of air marshals assigned to JTTF Units throughout Los Angeles. Met with FBI and other JTTF participants to brief on certain operations.
SFAM (Supervisory Federal Air Marshal)in charge of the VIPR (Visible Intermodal Protection and Response) Team. The Los Angeles VIPR Team consisted of designated air marshals assigned to conduct high profile uniformed operations with other law enforcement entities in the large Metro Transit system in Los Angeles County.
CIRT (Critical Incident Response Team) Supervisor in charge of overseeing the FAM teams for stress related issues that may affect their performance. Made recommendations for FAMs to be provided assistance based on their specific needs.
SFAM assigned to the LAX Liaison Unit. Coordinated arrivals and departures with foreign air marshal groups to secure their equipment and assist them with their departures. Assisted air marshals using LAX with their travel issues with the airlines and other stakeholders.
SFAM for Recruitment and Hiring. In 2005, created and conducted Recruitment and Hiring program for Los Angeles. Attended a National Hiring Conference in Headquarters representing Los Angeles and assisted in the initial roll-out of the FAMS Hiring Program. Selected and assigned hiring panels, consisting of 3 FAMs, to interview and evaluate all candidates for consideration.
SFAM assigned to assist in the execution of a large National Exercise to simulate the theft of a nuclear device and the attempted detonation in a large metropolitan city in Nevada, to test our readiness. This exercise employed members of the NEST, FBI JTTF, ICE, CBP, Los Angeles Police, Los Angeles County Sheriffs, CHP, and other impacted law enforcement agencies.
SFAM PAO for Public Affairs Issues in the Los Angeles area of operations. Developed PAO Training modules to facilitate the expansion of new PAOs at other offices.
