Work History

AV Technician

Freelance 1099 With Williams Signal and AV Lancer
01.2019 - Current
  • Enhanced audio quality for presentations with meticulous attention to microphone placement and sound mixing.
  • Enabled effective communication among team members during events by utilizing clear channels on walkie-talkies or headsets when coordinating tasks in noisy environments and minimizing unnecessary words with industry appropriate shorthand.
  • Improved client satisfaction by promptly addressing AV equipment issues and providing efficient solutions.
  • Continuously sought professional development opportunities, learning on the job any gaps in knowledge I may have had and picking up new skills as often as I can. I love this industry because people are so ready and willing to teach.
  • Assisted in the creation of visually compelling presentations by consulting with clients on their content and design preferences for projected materials.
  • Our main clients continue to be companies that rent out high end hotel ballrooms and conference rooms for employee enrichment events and gatherings from all over the country, they are often very particular, so its our job to get things done so they are perfect. Having the privelege in serving as a liaison between the AV Lancer Crew and great companies like NVidia and Pfizer was quite an honor.

Respiratory SpecialistSales

Sprylife Into 1st Class Medical
02.2021 - 02.2024
  • Contact (via telephone call, email, text message) semi-warm leads that had used a particular search term "portable oxygen concentrators"
  • Assess their questionnaire answers and ascertain, based on criterions established by the manufacturer's, which would be the "best" POC unit for them.
  • To further narrow in on the best choice for the patient/customer financially, whether it be a new machine, something lightly used/refurbished, or our financing program route, I would slowly have a conversation. Non threatening and not pushy, I was still able to gather the information and see through smoke screens. With that, I would pursue the close.
  • After finalizing the deal verbally, I would gather/input patient information, bill them on my end, then act as a liaison between patient and doctor to obtain a prescription for their oxygen machine.
  • My presence and positive attitude fostered an environment of positive friendly competition. This was vital among other employees and staff members because some days in sales are brutal and discouraging. Even while I was busy writing up a lot of business, I lent a positive ear to those who were having bad days. Doing so, I helped the company with overturn from already trained professional salesmen. while prioritizing high-quality patient care services.
  • I'm a customer service guy so a lot of times I bent over backwards to make sure something would get there ASAP. To expedite overnight shipping, I've had to get the machine out of inventory, scan here scan there, finalize invoice paperwork, get shipping label from UPS website, use thermal printer to print out shipping label then slap that on the box. Finalize everything to tie that SN of the machine to pt's name and finally drove to UPS myself to ensure a job well done.
  • #1 Salesman on Sprylyfe, and #2 overall between LPT, Sprylyfe, and 1st class medical with a little over 2 million units sold in 2022.

Since he was so impressed with my work ethic and had my faith to "hold down the fort", when his wife and him would go out of town to visit either his family or his new in-laws with their two baby children, I was the Pharmacist responsible for opening the doors at 9 AM and keeping the ship running smoothly.

Student Tutor

  • Provided ongoing support for students facing academic challenges, leading to better retention rates and overall success.
  • Boosted student confidence and academic performance through consistent feedback and encouragement.

Concurrently with this position, I also had my own side-gig. Throughout the school I put up piece of paper advertisements with vertical printing at the bottom that had my name, number, and Chemistry tutor so you could rip off a piece and keep it in your pocket to dial me later. I would charge by the hour for one-on-one individual private appointments outside the hours of SARC in a student room in the library. This individualized attention would really help me learn how they learn, and adapt my teaching style accordingly. I also did private pre-test reviews, where I would utilize a large lecture room on Campus and go over "important concepts that need to be known prior to walking into your test tomorrow" (as I called it). These events were highly profitable for me and would last about 4-6 hours.

Education

PharmD Doctorate of Pharmacy - Pharmacy

University of Colorado Anschutz Campus, Aurora, CO
06.2012

4 year Degree consisting of first three years: Disease state pathology/treatment of these diseases with medications, mechanism of action of those medications along with an emphasis on pharmacokinetics, pharmacodynamics, etc.

Pertinent information as it relates to pharmacogenomics, drug-drug interactions, and also non-drug therapies to assist in disease/symptom management was also taught.

The last year of our education consisted of rotations where we were stationed at a location around Colorado and worked as an intern there for 6 weeks at a time. I got some hands on experience at Kaiser's Weight Loss Clinic (where patients are evaluated for a "gastric sleeve" procedure) and a tablet of Metformin becomes too big for their stomachs to handle; lots of medications eventually need adjustment. Other notable experiences was the community pharmacy in Limon where I met Ben, a great smart preceptor, and Porter Hospital where I worked at their Warfarin clinic to adjust warfarin dosage based on INR and ascertain why their levels became so non-therapeutic, was it compliance or a drug-FOOD (Vitamin K) interaction?

Bachelor of Science - Molecular And Microbiology

University of Central Florida, Orlando, FL
06.2008

After an inspiring lecture from my Organic 1 professor the summer of my freshman year, I dedicated and committed myself to studying like an athlete. This was evidenced by my GPA turnaround where I received nothing but straight A's for the rest of my years at UCF. I would continuously set the curve on exams but the other students couldnt help but love me.

An accomplishment I'm very proud of at this school was when my Organic Chemistry 2 professor, the same man who recommended me for SARC, Dr. Seth Elsheimer. When he went on vacation, he asked me to teach the lecture he had planned for his Organic Chemistry 2 class. It was a blast, in front of 70 or 80 of people whose shows i was in literally a year ago was quite the feeling. I got to field sincere questions, and took delight in shutting down hagglers trying to make me fumble or slip. It wasn't long after dealing with the hagglers I had won the respect of the room and had a terrific lesson.

High School Diploma -

Lyman High School, Longwood, FL
07.2004
  • Proud to be the President elect for my Sophomore class 2002-2003.
  • To the chagrin of some, a clique group of young women thought they had the entire student body organization positions divided amongst themselves, they thought their friend who they had placed into that role would run unchallenged.
  • Little did they know, I saw a position I thought I could win at with very little effort. In so, I devised a successful strategy for winning the votes of the student body.
  • It didn't focus on advertisements and banners or cupcakes or cookies that said Vote Robert. It focused on humor during my election speech, something we needed during the rough times many students needed mental health help post the traumatic events of 09/11.
