Business Development Manager EAC /System Design Engineer

Banner Solutions
Kansas City, MO
03.2018 - 02.2021
  • In my role as Business Development Manager, EAC/System Design Engineer, I developed the Electronic Access Control vendors list and provided onboarding assistance to the new vendors in this position. I also developed stocking orders; for example, Altronix for power supplies, Pro Data Key for access control systems, Door King for telephone entry systems and electric gate operators, Windy City Wire and Cable, ELK Electronic Products, and Aiphone Door Stations. I also taught the national sales teams how to sell all the new technologies, and gave product demonstrations, expo trainings, and lunch-and-learns.

I would travel with high-value customers, desiring to develop new business opportunities. Training on-the-job automatic ADA operators and certifying the installation, as well as connecting installers to AAADM certification classes. This was a huge success!

System design, specializing in providing detailed edge-to-edge solutions, access control, delayed egress, and child abduction. Elder care, nurse call solutions, and operation statements.

Technical Support Manager /System Design Engineer

Security Door Controls
Camarillo , CA
03.2012 - 02.2017

I answered high-volume phone calls day in and day out when at the home office or remote office, all products manufactured by SDC. Additionally, I created system solutions, troubleshot, and problem-solved product interactions with other manufacturers. I also developed mantrap kits and clean room kits, using SDC relay logic boards. I also traveled to trade shows. ADI, IML Security Supply, Anixter, PSA, SAS, HL Flake, and Akron Hardware—as an instructor. This includes expo training at most of these events, as well as setting up expo booths. In some years, I traveled up to 21 weeks a year. I rode along with all regional managers and communicated our solutions at a high level to increase sales in each region. I trained most regional rep firms in the corporate office from Monday to Thursday once a quarter.
