- Always keep the department lead and department supervisor informed of progress within the department and up-to-date on any problems that may occur.
- Inspect materials, products or equipment to detect defects or malfunctions.
- Use problem-solving and issue-resolution skills to promptly and successfully address production problems.
- Inspect products and machines to maintain quality and efficiency.
- Train new production staff members on safe and efficient production procedures and proper machine operations.
- Adjust machines to increase productivity for runs.
- Back-up for department lead whenever he is not available, or on vacation.
