  • In my role as AGM Safety/ Training, my mission is to develop and optimize public transit systems and boost the economy and quality of life to make distances shorter and bring people together. My goal is to provide a safe and secure environment for customers, community, and employees through consistent training, enforcement, and resource allocation. My responsibilities are overseeing the department to ensure that all newly hired operators are properly trained to safely operate our vehicles. Accurate record keeping is a must to track current and past student’s information and progress. To achieve these goals, I’m directing a team of 3 Training Instructors in classroom and behind the wheel instructional training, ensuring that the team is teaching all curriculum, the same way, using the same safety language to produce consistency in learning. In addition to the general training of transit operations, there are special training programs provided to enhance the professional skills of the new operators.
  • These trainings include that of Clever, Farebox, and Smart Drive log- in procedures. Proper ADA securement procedures and LLLC Defensive Driving. My department also provides post accident, return to duty, and annual refresher training. I have 5 plus years serving in this role.
  • As Safety Manager, I’ve conducted safety meetings to operators monthly to encourage safe defensive driving techniques, highlighting safety scores through drive cam and accident trends. I administered drug/alcohol program through random testing. Recorded all accident/incidents through Smart Tracker. I directed all accident/incident investigations to determine preventability or non-preventability. Oversee all worker compensation claims and insurance claims. Ensured all files were accurate and reported to client and General Manager. Followed OSHA requirements through facility inspections and making corrections to stay compliant.   • In my role as a Risk and Safety Supervisor, I provide technical expertise on safety policy matters and conduct additional safety support to various departments that are reported to Executive management.
