  • Filled melting furnace by loading cathode on belt to get picked up by suction cup to go on a chair to flip up and get picked up by a gripper for it to drop into furnace
  • When furnace was full and up to temp, push the pour over button to lift and pour over the furnace to the batwing that flows the copper to the casting furnace
  • Once in the casting furnace the pressure chamber pushes the copper level up to push copper into the molds and come out the front
  • In order for that copper to stay cool we are in charge of the water flow and temperature for the water on the shells coming out
  • Saws then cut 51' shells and roll them on to table for the next machine to take them
  • We are to maintain the front of the cast furnace when not running by taking the mold frame off and fixing the face of the cast furnace
  • Also had to maintain the melting furnace by chipping any slag off and maintain cover for any exposed copper
