Accomplishments

Minimized PG&E Facility bills by automating the facility lights, wall fans and HVAC's. Installed Allen Bradley PLC, Automation Direct HMI and networked Allen Bradley Point I/O throughout the facility. I separated the production areas into zones and then connected the Point I/O to the lighting contactor's, wall fan contactor's and HVAC's. I then added switches to control the zones so if a production area left on time they could turn the switch off in their area to shut the zone off. This kept the lights, wall fans and HVAC's from running in those areas. In case they forgot to switch the area off I programmed the areas to automatically shut off at a predetermined time. This also helped on Saturdays when a production area would come in they could just turn on their areas of production.
