As a maintenance member of the Veterans Park District, I have done numerous tasks throughout the years. Working at the pool during the summers meant pool vacuuming, locker room and bathroom clean-up, minor landscaping, gardening, and concession maintenance.

Working at the garage, I was weedwhacking the grounds, moving supplies to the building, mulching during the spring, gardening, park clean-up, and chair distribution for parties.

When I was at a park district building, my tasks were general building maintenance, party setups and cleanups, gym cleanup, turf vacuuming, and storage organization.

• Directed drivers to parking spots.
• Directed traffic flow within the garage as needed to maintain safety and orderliness.
• Maintained clean facility by sweeping parking areas and removing waste.
• Cleaned parking lot regularly by removing trash and cleaning up spills.
• Greeted customers and provided information about parking fees, regulations and services.
• Monitored parking area for safety, security and general customer concerns.
• Assisted customers with finding available spaces in the lot.
• Handled account payments, collected cash and processed credit card charges.
• Monitored entrances, exits and lots to ensure compliance with parking policies.
• Managed parking and traffic control to facilitate vehicle flow in assigned area.
