Critical care monitoring of medically unstable patients

• Effectively handling medical emergencies, assisting physicians, preparing patients for procedures, administering treatments, and ensuring advanced life support when indicated.

• Not inclusive to, keeping the facility a clean and safe environment for our residents, by: Educating staff in using aseptic technique, especially when caring for residents
• Watching for and monitoring closely, infections and outbreaks
• Collaborating with physicians when their patients develop infections and regarding isolation protocols, antibiotics, etc
• Teaching new staff the basics of infection control, including proper handwashing, aseptic technique and donning/ doffing PPE
• Rounding facility twice daily to ensure aseptic technique is being practiced
• Monitoring effectiveness of cleanliness and disinfecting protocols
• Attending daily morning leadership meetings
• During times of outbreak, taking lab samples, swabs, including staff and residents, monitoring staff isolation and back to work dates
• Also residents’ time in isolation
• Collecting, sending out and monitoring lab samples
• Responsibilty of gathering data and sending monthly reports to the state, including reporting new infections
• Screening staff and residents for vaccinations and documentation, as well as reporting this info to MCIR
• Administer any and all vaccines to staff/ residents and keep records of

• IV nurse for remote company, in Florida; placing peripheral IVs for residents of multiple Long Term Care Facilities, in southeast Michigan

• Placing peripheral IVs in patients, who were positive for COVID and administered antibodies to them
• Check vital signs before, during and after infusions
• Monitor for patients for S/S of reaction
• Report to physician, with any S/S of reaction
