In my time as a Co-Teacher, I mentored many students and demonstrated many acting assignments. These assignments included singing, monologues, scenes, and self written work. One of the students I mentored, Robert Escalante, preformed with me in a scene and helped us get 3rd place.
I preformed this monologue and ended up getting 3rd place out of 50 other high schoolers from different schools. This was also my first Monologue competition rather than scenes.
My friends and I were selected to preform in the Composite Scene section of the competition. We ended up getting 3rd place.
My friend and I got 2nd Place in this competition, he played Mercutio and I played Romeo.
In this show, we preformed sonnets and other types of poems that we may had found or written. My monologue was titled "Siren" about a man who was drawn in by a monster, his wife.
