• Design and implement programs to enhance health and safety protocols at three different locations, including Behavioral Safety and Regulatory Compliance programs, to help the company lower its total cost of risk, and continuously improve safety performance.
• Coordinate with leadership, locally and at corporate, on safety-related capital budget items, including helping to create the business case for their acquisition.
• Develop and oversee safety training for employees when performing plant visits or safety audits.
• Develop the meeting agenda and conduct regular safety meetings with plant leadership.
• Oversee the company's incident/accident investigation process, and ensure that local safety teams are properly trained to conduct investigations, and to develop and implement appropriate corrective actions.

• Be the internal "go-to" person for all questions related to safety by keeping abreast of changes in laws and regulations affecting Americhem Inc. operations.
• Collaborate with Plant Leadership and other operations personnel to identify, quantify, and analyze claims data and causal information so that future claims can be reduced, in terms of both frequency and severity, primarily through appropriate operational procedures, safeguards, and behavior, and through loss prevention initiatives.
