1988-1998 Creekside Ele. Taught resource K-3 grade.

1998-2007 Delay MS Taught Study Kills and 8th grade ELA.

2007-2019 JJAEP Sped Coordinator, Inclusion teacher, content mastery, ESL coordinator, GED teacher, state testing coordinator..


One year I was interrupted at JJAEP due to budget cuts and taught at LHS in Sped. I was called back after the one year.


Retired May 2019.

Long term Dyslexia teacher, Title 1 teacher, ESSER Tutor, for DentonISD.


Grants:

Creekside Ele. won my first grant to integrate expressive-receptive speech language into my sped curriculum.


Creekside Ele won my second grant for proposing a multi sourced reading program for first and second grades. It was named CHIRP for Creekside Has Individualized Reading Programs. LISD hired me to teach this program for six years.


At Delay MS I won my third grand for teaching study skills i a unique way with materials.


Personal:

I am the author of 12 published books. I continue my interest in writing and publishing.


I am a voracious mystery reader.


I love to garden and hike in nature.


Mother of two adult children and Mimi to two grandsons.
