Summary

I've gained a wealth of teaching experience from working with a variety of ages, levels, and subjects since 1992. I homeschooled my own children while living overseas. I've taught kindergarten English, high school Chinese, and many grades and subjects in between. I particularly enjoy working with emergent readers and Multilingual Language Learners. I've had much experience with curriculum development and differentiation for various levels, learning styles, and neurodiversities. I've also had years of experience collaborating with fellow teachers, administrators, and parents in order to ensure academic success for their children.

I enjoy reading historical fiction. I also enjoy watching period dramas, based upon historical eras and events. Two of my current favorites are "The Gilded Age" and "Call the Midwife."

I have two adult sons. Ben (who was ten months old when we moved to China) lives in Boston. Daniel (who was born in Thailand) lives in Washington, D.C.
