In Bali, I dedicated my time to a vital cause: sea turtle conservation. At a reputable sea turtle rehabilitation center "The Green Lion."
Each day began with a critical task - cleaning the beaches. These shores, renowned for their beauty, were marred by litter, including plastic waste and fishing nets. Our team worked tirelessly to remove these hazards, while also educating locals and tourists about the importance of a litter-free coastline.
Inside the rehabilitation center, we cared for sick and injured sea turtles, nursing them back to health. Feeding sessions were a highlight, as we carefully provided tailored nutrition to aid their recovery. Ensuring the turtles' tanks remained clean and safe was another essential responsibility.
The culmination of our efforts was the release of these turtles back into the sea, marking a triumph for conservation. My time in Bali instilled in me a deep commitment to protecting our oceans and their incredible inhabitants.
As a dedicated conservationist, I continue to champion the cause of marine conservation, emphasizing the urgency of collective action to safeguard our oceans and their extraordinary biodiversity.
Quito, Pichincha

During my time as a volunteer with UBECI (Union of Street Educators and Children of the Market) in Ecuador, I engaged in a meaningful initiative aimed at empowering underprivileged children working in the busy markets of Quito.
Our mission at UBECI was clear: to provide essential childcare and educational support to these young individuals, who often found themselves working instead of attending school. In the markets, our team ensured the safety and well-being of these children, offering free childcare services that allowed their parents to work while giving the children an opportunity to experience the joys of childhood.
My responsibilities included organizing engaging activities and educational exercises that not only entertained but also imparted basic Spanish language skills, including counting, alphabet recognition, and spelling. These skills not only contributed to their intellectual development but also held significant value for their future prospects.
By fostering a nurturing environment, we witnessed the children's confidence and sense of hope grow as they acquired new skills and knowledge. This experience underscored the transformative power of education and compassion in shaping the lives of disadvantaged youth.
My volunteer work with UBECI reaffirmed my commitment to advocating for the rights and well-being of marginalized children, emphasizing the importance of providing opportunities for them to thrive, regardless of their circumstances. It continues to serve as a cornerstone of my dedication to education and empowerment as catalysts for positive change.
