
Robin Hornstra, LCSW, is an experienced clinical social worker specializing in working with children and families. With over 25 years of expertise in addictions, anger management, trauma, anxiety, and depression, Robin holds a Master's degree in Social Work from Virginia Commonwealth University and a Bachelor's degree in Social Work from James Madison University. Her extensive background at various community service boards has equipped her with valuable knowledge in crisis management, individual, group, and family therapy, as well as client advocacy. Robin's approach focuses on helping clients discover effective coping strategies and empowering them to recognize and utilize their own strengths and abilities to enhance their lives. Known for her astute clinical skills, she provides comprehensive yet concise assessments and solution-focused treatment plans. Robin also offers supervision for licensure (LCSW) and Registered Play Therapist (RPT) and has recently acquired training in the Havening Technique to better support clients who have experienced trauma. With attentive listening skills, she assists clients in identifying and understanding self-defeating thoughts and behaviors, encouraging positive changes and motivating personal growth.
