• Provides care for pediatric populations, including emergent/urgent, and triage

Level 1 Trauma Center

1:4 patient ratio, 53 bed unit

• Provides emergent/urgent care to pediatric patients ranging from neonate to 19 years old
• Experience with triage, telemetry, moderate sedation, PIV insertion/lab draws, medication administration - oral/IV/CVL/PICC line medication administration, antibiotic reconstitution/administration, port access, NG tube placement, catheter placement, respiratory management, DKA management, neonatal septic work ups, sepsis protocol, high risk patient protocol.
• Level 1 and 2 trauma experience
• Collaboration of care with ED residents, nurse practitioners, and attendings
• HAWC nurse (Happy to assist with care) - pod flow assistance
• Involved in ED mentorship program
• Preceptor for new hire nurses

Pediatric Acute Care Med Surg

• Provided care to a broad population of patients and specialties including Gastroenterology, Solid Organ Transplant, Renal, Endocrinology, Urology, and General Surgery
• Provided care post kidney/liver transplant
• Educated newly diagnosed type 1 and type 2 patients and families on diabetes management.
• Educated patients, families, and caregivers on treatment plans, disease process, and management.
• Preceptor for new hire nurses
• Float and relief charge experience
