• A Florida Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (FLPBIS) Technical Assistance Specialist plays a key role in helping school districts implement and sustain effective behavior support systems. Responsibilities include:
• Providing training and coaching to district and school staff on the PBIS framework across all tiers—school-wide (Tier 1), targeted group (Tier 2), and individual student (Tier 3) supports.
• Supporting data-driven decision-making by helping teams use behavioral data to guide interventions and monitor outcomes.
• Assisting with implementation planning, including readiness assessments, action plans, and fidelity checks to ensure PBIS practices are embedded effectively.
• Collaborating with district leadership teams to align PBIS with broader Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) initiatives and district goals.
• Offering ongoing technical assistance, such as site visits, virtual consultations, and resource sharing tailored to each district’s needs.
• Help schools build positive, inclusive environments where students can thrive behaviorally, socially, and academically.
• Presenter at the Association for PBIS and the National Leadership PBIS Forum on various topics related to Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports.

Job Goal: Coach administrators, teachers and staff to improve lifelong academic and behavioral outcomes for students using a problem solving framework. Responsibilities:

• Positive Behavior Support District Coordinator – Support schools with training, implementation and support for Tier 1, 2 and 3.
