Support daily operations of the catering department during the academic year: 10-12 hours/week.

Joined the team full time during Summer 2023 and Summer 2024: Upwards of 40 hours/week

● Work with a diverse team of chefs, managers, and coworkers

● Contribute to the delivery of high-quality catering services for various events and occasions on campus

● Collaborate with chefs and other kitchen staff to prepare a variety of foods for on-campus dining hall

● Lead other coworkers to ensure that events are set up, served, or torn down in a way that lives up to the company standard

● Train new coworkers on routine tasks and daily operating procedures

● Worked alongside teachers and horticultural experts to maintain aquaponic, hydroponic and aeroponic systems within the lab

● Grew and harvested a large variety of organic produce and prepared it to be donated or sold to local businesses/members of the community

● Conducted numerous experiments by precisely following procedures in the plant tissue culture lab and the genetics lab

● Analyzed water samples and conducted tests weekly to ensure nutrient levels remained stable

● Frequently referenced and followed SDS sheets for numerous chemicals and other substances that were commonly used in the AgWorks facility

● Gave tours of AgWorks facility to the general public and demonstrated proficiency in understanding every aquaponic, hydroponic, and aeroponic system

● Represented CCA at the Pennsylvania Farm Show as a part of the traveling mobile aquaponics lab
