Summary
I have been a welder, factory worker, or construction worker nearly my entire adult life. Its been all I have known of work since childhood, but I have never honestly imagined myself doing that kind of work forever. Eastern Maine Community College had a nursing program when I was there. At the time I would often think about my life if I had chosen a different path specifically nursing. I want to get into the medical industry and preferably in a hospital environment and make the life change I've been pondering for so long. I am hard working and motivated to learn, but just as importantly I know I will give the utmost quality of care and respect to any and all patients I will encounter. - I did much the same job for ECS(Engineered Construction Services) as I do for Bath Iron Works. I generally used stick welding(SMAW) and welded on pipe more often than structure. Mostly steam and condensate lines for facilities at Portsmith Naval Shipyard as a subcontractor. The job also required me to be able to assist or work independently with general construction, fabrication or demolition involved with various industrial facilities.

- I have attained certifications for structural and pipe welding, but do not currently keep them up to date. This is because they would not help qualify me for other welding jobs. Welders are tested by individual companies as a condition upon being hired and they hire primarily based on work experience.
