As the Waste Water Lead I work closely with the Waste Water Collections Manager, Water manager, Transportation Manager, and Directors.
As the "Lead" I am responsible for crew scheduling, job priority, locates, parts inventory, parts and tool purchasing. I work with our Engineering side on both "City" owned and "City" contracted projects. I work in the field with the crews training, and educating them on how to perform the work. I operate excavators, backhoes, road graders, skidsteers, bull dozers, Vactor trucks, dump trucks, lowboys, etc.
I work with the customers, plumbers, and contractors with any and all questions they may have regarding sewer/storm. Generally it's price, (SDC's) ,location, availability, schedules.
I am the Lucity Coordinator for the City of The Dalles. I oversee EAM program, I input all the new vehicles and equipment into the system, maintain all work orders, build all the PM schedules, perform system maintenance, make changes to the system, track all reports as needed. I also oversee the system for our FOG program, Water Treatment Plant, Waste Water Collections, and Fleet program.
I am in charge of the sewer audit program at the "City". I conduct all audits, make customer visits, and work closely with our finance/ planning departments to maintain an accurate data base on our Caselle program. I work with adjoining districts during this process as well.
I work with other division managers in scheduling equipment, repairs, rentals, crew help, and safety concerns. I purchase most all equipment and vehicles for the "City". I am versed in government purchasing programs, and ruled of conduct when it comes to purchases.
I work closely with our WWTP Sub Contractor. I schedule equipment moves, repairs, crews for repairs, equipment/vehicle repairs.
